Minhaj Welfare Foundation is responding to the ongoing conflicts and disasters in Syria, Pakistan and the Horn of Africa. MWF is focusing on both the short and long term needs of those affected.
The crisis in Syria is gravely concerning. Hundreds of people are being killed or wounded and millions have already fled their homes. Ever since the crisis broke out in 2011, the situation has worsened with more than 13 million Syrians, including 6 million children in need of humanitarian assistance.
The people of Syria are unable to meet their daily food needs with more than 70 per cent of the population without regular access to safe drinking water.
Attacks on school, hospitals, places of worship and other civilian infrastructures are occurring at an intolerable rate, with a devastating impact on civilians’ lives. Over 2 million children are out of school.
For many Syrians staying behind isn’t an option. They are living in squalid conditions in camps in ramshackle boats and on the streets in neighbouring countries.
The ongoing crisis in Syria requires significant funding, and at this stage every little help is needed to ensure the safety and security of the people of Syria.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation is committed in ’Supporting the People of Syria’ and is asking its donors, supporters and volunteers to donate generously towards its relief efforts; shelter, food, water and medical assistance.
