Whosoever builds/constructs a Masjid for Allah, then Allah will build for him/her a house like it in Paradise
Sahih al-Bukhari 439
In 1981, Shaykh-ul-Islam along with their spiritual guide laid down the foundation to one of the greatest organisations ever in Lahore, Pakistan.
The Minhaj-ul-Quran International was a central hub where thousands of people from different walks of life came to seek sacred knowledge and religious advice. The Markazi Jamia Masjid was built to support the spiritual needs of the organisation.
His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam in this Masjid has delivered Friday sermons, historic talks and led the annual Spiritual Itikaf where thousands of people worldwide have benefitted.
As the organisation has grown worldwide, the demands have changed over time. There was a need to further expand the current Markazi Jamia Masjid to cater for a much wider audience.
In 2018, a plan was proposed to construct and develop the Markazi Masjid.
With more than 12,000 Sq ft area, work has begun on:
- Both interior and exterior tile works
- The roofing
- And the unique domes.
The Markazi masjid once built will be able to facilitate thousands of male and females.
With your kind support and help, we are hoping to complete the proposed plan by early 2019.
Insha-a-Allah, we will only be successful if everyone of us collectively invests their time and wealth into this Masjid Project.
And remember both small and large contributions will be embedded into the fabric of the masjid, leaving behind a great Sadqah Jariyah for you and your loved ones.
Support the Masjid Project, Markazi Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran.
“Oh Allah open for us the doors of your mercy.”
